Whether frying, roasting, grilling, baking or sautéing, the pre-seasoned cast iron skillet from Navaris lets you enjoy a better cooking experience and better results with outstanding retention of heat. Whether on the hob or in the oven, food slides out with ease. With proper care, your pan will last for decades and get better with time.
Cleaning: The pan is not dishwasher-safe! Clean by hand using warm water and a non-abrasive sponge. If needed, scrub the pan while it’s still warm using grain salt and a cloth or paper towel. Rinse with warm water.
Storage: Dry well with a cloth after cleaning and place briefly on low heat. Once fully dry, rub a small amount of vegetable or canola oil into the surface with a paper towel. Place on stove for 5-10 minutes and allow to cool fully in a safe place away from children.
Seasoning helps prevent rust. Preheat oven to 150°C. Place a tray covered with aluminium foil on bottom oven shelf. Place skillet on top oven shelf and heat for 10 minutes. Take out and rub a small amount of vegetable or canola oil into the surface with a paper towel. Place skillet back on top oven shelf for another 10 minutes. Then turn skillet upside down to let any excess oil drip off onto aluminium foil below. Bake skillet for 1 hour, remove and allow to cool in a safe area.
